Fertility Specialist appt tomorrow! - Page 2

How long do you normally have to be trying before they refer you to a specialist? sorry for the question....I a bit new to this?

12 months but seriously it wouldnt hurt for you to just say you've been trying for that little bit extra long if you havent because i see it as nice to find out weather you have problems or not earlier so you can get on to it quicker and not waste time.

i've got my first appoinment on 23rd they told me the appoinment may take upto 6 hours as tests if they need doin will be done there i was referred after 7 months because my AF never arrived after 7 months after implanton was removed and the fact that i've had AF problems since i first started at them at 17........

good luck to all with up coming gyno appoinments xxxx

I agree that it usually takes 12 months of real trying before you get a referral... unless you have my doctor!

I had a chemical when we weren't trying, my OB/GYN gave me Clomid "for luck" and gave me the green light to start trying... when the first month didn't take (although I did O), she referred me to a fertility clinic. I'm on my 2nd Clomid cycle while I wait for the 30th. She's a bit unorthodox though.

I guess I should be happy, but I'm a bit put off that she's passed me along so very quickly. I should probably shut up and take yes for an answer though! LOL I'm hoping to get my

before the 30th... to prove a point!

yeah kissy i was on impanon for almost 3 years it worked fine for me but im not liking it now that its out my periods r all over the place irregular never going back to that again!

oh thats awesome meggs sounds like your doctor cares about her patients needs lol. Fingers crossed you get your BFP.

Awwww... I wish it was because she cared about her patients' needs. In actuality, she's been practicing for a very long time and she's VERY busy. She has too many patients as it is. So, those of us who would like a little attention or monitoring or whatnot... we get passed along. I just hope that the F.C. will like the idea of monitored Clomid cycles. I don't want to get in to much more than that at this stage!
