Which is more reliable?

Which is more reliable - BBT or OPKs? I had negative results on all my OPKs last week (and I was religiously testing at the same time each afternoon, after a few hours of no peeing), but I had a spike in my temps, and Fertility Friend predicted that I O'd on Thursday. I know OPKs are not 100% and I think I trust BBT more, but I presume my temps would not go up if I had not O'd? Your thoughts would be appreciated...

Anyway, we're BDing every other day, so hopefully we caught it. Now I'm having phantom symptoms! My breasts have been hurting (which is unusal for me, but could be related to O-ing), but to make sure they still hurt, I keep prodding them, and now I don't know if they hurt for a good reason, or if its all self-induced!

I hate the 2WW (I think my DH hates it more, as I can't stop talking about it!)

Good luck to everyone this month. Baby dust for all of us.

Thanks. No idea when AF is due - my cycle is anywhere from 30 - 43 days. I thought I was due to O today. Will hopefully test in another 10 days or so. What do you think? Don't want to test too early as I don't want to be disappointed, and I'm feeling positive this month.

how long have being tracking your cycle? i thought for someone who doesn't have regular cycle they have to do a average adding their past 3 month cycle and get a average? i read it somewhere ...
Anyway may be a opk will be better for you ...i never use any so hopefully a ladie from the forum will give you some good guidance

Thanks for the info. We have been TTC for 6 months. This is my first month BBT, but second month using OPKs. The last three months average out to about 35 days, and I think my longest cycles were due to stress at work etc. Trying to stay more relaxed now. BFP is more important

I used opk's on my last cycle but didn't get a positive result but i'm thinking i didn't start testing early enough gonna give them another go this cycle got a load of cheapies so will test every day! If you've BD'd every other day looks like you don't really need the OPK's i'm gonna try that this month too x

What cycle day do you start using OPKs?

Personally I preferred charting - took a while to get my head round taking my temps but then it took a while getting my head round not taking my temps when I stopped HA!
