Mummys with 1 or more LOs already TTC

Is anyone else really really nervous about bringing another child into the house?

Im so nervous that its going to affect Seth badly. I dont want him to get less attention than he does now and I fell like Id have to split my love two ways...

Im also worried that I wouldnt love another baby as much as I love Seth. I dont see how I could? and its not fair to a child to come 2nd to a sibling IMO...

I know that probably sounds really silly and makes me sound like a nasty person but Im so worried about it, its making me not want another one 'just in case'.

Is it just me?

x

Ohh this is hilarious! But so normal too!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are 18 months between DD and DS.

I thought i would not be able to love the second as much as the first and i loved her (still do!), so very very much and she was just so perfect!

We found out at 20 weeks it was boy, well then i thought, "i dont know if i can love a boy as much as a girl!".

As for the attention thing, DS got less than DD did as a baby, i knew DD was a toddler and needed more attention in a way. So long as DS was fed, clean content, asleep etc, i focused on DD. She never had a problem with DS getting more attention.

Is all crap! Course you love them both as much, they love each other dearly too and get on so so well together, BF's! They are an absolute delight, hence wanting more of them!

So dont worry!

I am sure when you were pg with number 1 you wondered all silly things about them too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello

have LO already and am not worried about him not getting enough attention or the 2 of them not getting on. I am worried about practical things, like how will I cope. My house is a little messy already and I don't want it to get worse, I worry about meal and bath times, will I be able to get them both working well.

I think you have to make a decision and then stick you it. Some people have said I should wait till lo is in school....I feel this is not for me. I wasn't sure if I could cope with one an he is blossoming like you would not believe. Also I am very lucky in that I have a lot of support, my lo is already walking and feeding himself and sleeps in his own bed. After 9 months of pregnancy, my lo would be going to nursery pt within 6 months. We can do!!!

Good luck with whatever you chose to do, just imagine that 1st kick...do yu really think there is any chance you won't love that baby as much?

You will love your second child... and your third... etc just as much as the first one. It may affect seth a tiny bit in the beginning because its a life changing event, but it wont take long before seth loves his baby brother or sister and enjoys having a playmate!

Then when they are old enough... they will team up against you LOL

Hi Linzi, i have a DS who is nearly 20months and the light of our lives, i too worried about the attention thing, loving the next baby, what will my DS think of a sibling, will he be unhappy without mommys sole attention?
DH and I decided that a sibling would be a wonderful friend and addition to the family.
i have just fallen preg and already just in the few days i have known i am preg i feel sure it was the right decision and our DS will love playing with his sibling, and i will love this baby in equal amounts, i know it!

so your thoughts are not silly at all, but i am sure Seth will love a sibling.

goodluck in ttc
