so mad with gp and still got no answers

Hi, just back from gp, we decided enough was enough after 10months of ttc and 2 miscarriages both at 6/40, and this month and still no period we would go and seek help.
he said we had to keep trying for another year before tests commenced because we were obviously fertile, yes this may be true but something is wrong somewhere. also my sister has PCOS and this has always been a worry of mine, that i also suffer (i have irregular cycles)
all i asked for were simple blood tests for thyroid function, and hormone levels but no too much trouble and not necessary. i then asked about hcg since miscarriage in may, took a few weeks to drop - then i never heard from gp again (should have followed it up sooner but it wasnt helping my emotional state) so it turns out hcg was not negative when they finsihed testing!!
this has worked in my favour as he has requested a scan for PCOS and for uterine function and to ensure no retained products (god i hate that phrase). but still no hcg test. ok rant over and i feel so much better, i work for the nhs and this does not give me confidence!
