I'm Currently Feeling: | Thank you so much for the replies! It makes me feel like I am not alone! I have 3 children already (19, 16, 15) and it is a bit frustrating since I didn't have a problem before.
But like y'all said before, don't make it a chore and relax and enjoy! Hopefully soon enough we will all be in the trimester forums! Thank you all so much! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi Jonnanne,
Just read your post, i'm new here too.
I too have recently had a tubal reversal ( two weeks ago) after been sterilized 6 years ago, I have 3 children aged 8,9 and 10 from my previous marriage but got re-married 3 years ago to a man who has no children of his own.
When I got sterilized I was positive that my family was complete but my marriage failed and I met my new dh 6 months later.
My surgeon say's that everything is fine with me and my hubby has super sperm lol so conceiving should be fine , but deep down I have a fear that for some reason it may not work!
I suppose that because I conceived my other children relatively easy I thought that I would get pregnant straight away, but the more sites I visit like this i realize it may not be that simple
Take comfort however in the fact that it can take 12 to 18 months for a normal healthy woman to get pregnant.
good luck with everything and keep me up to date with your progress xxxxxxxx | | | | Status: Offline

good luck with everything and keep me up to date with your progress xxxxxxxx | I completely understand where you are coming from. This is my second marriage. We have been together for 7 1/2 years and he doesn't have any children either. My children are 19, 16, & 15. My tubal ligation was done in 1999 and my reversal was done in April last year. I didn't have any problems conceiving my other children either.
I am 35 and my OH is 30. His swimmers swim just fine and according to my doctor, I am fine too. She told me that since I am in the age bracket that I am, my eggs just aren't as young as they were before and it makes it a but harder to fertilize (sp). She said if we aren't pregnant by April she wants to do a hsg test to see if my tubes are blocked and if we aren't pregnant within a month or two after that, she wants us to go to a fertility doctor to talk about Clomid. She said I am O every month which is good considering my age. I am of healthy weight and I do what I am supposed to. (other than stress out, i am a mother of 3 teens! 2 of which are girls!) So we will see.
If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? How long were your tubes after the reversal? Mine were R-2.5 cm and L- 3.0 cm
Anyway, keep me posted and Good luck! Sending you bunches of
Anne |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi
I am 30 and dh is 32. To be honest I don't know how long my tubes are now, i wasn't told!!! my consultant was in London when I was discharged from hospital so I didn't really get chance to ask many questions but i will ask now that you mention it.
How long after your surgery were you told to wait before ttc?? My cons said i should start trying asap but other sites i have visited say to leave it at least 2 cycles?
I know that the success of a reversal depends a lot on the method used when you are sterilized initially and also the length of time, I was sterilized with the filshie clips which apparently is the easiset method to reverse causing the least damage. I will cross all fingers, toes and legs ( apart from ovulation times lol) for you and your dh and hope this year brings better luck for you both xxxx | | | | Status: Offline

I had my tr on 4-12-07 and AF came on 4-16-07 and we started after that cycle.
I had coagulation (cutting and burning at the same time most coming here in the states) and that is why my tubes are shorter. But it is still possible and my doctors success rate for all my stats is 70%.
Yours was done as an inpatient procedeure? Mine was done the same day and I went to the hotel where we stayed and I went back home (about 3 hours away) the next morning.
I reccommend start trying as soon as you feel comfortable. The sooner the better I think! Check out my doctors web site and look at his stats. www.tubal-reversal.net
Anyway, Good luck and I will pray that you and your dh get pregnant soon! Good luck and sending bunches of

I'm Currently Feeling: | I have read a lot about Dr Berger over the last few weeks, seems fantastic to me and the stats are brilliant too.
How lucky were you to be out the same day !!! I presume you had your reversal via microsurgery?? seems to be used a lot more in the U.S than over here. Mine was reversed with a C- section sized incision across my bikini line which is why I was in hospital so long.
keep me posted xxxx | | | | Status: Offline

keep me posted xxxx | Mine was like that too. All of my children were vaginal deliveries so this was kinda a new experience to me. My incision scar is approx 4 inches long across my bikini line too. I didn't have any problems with the surgery at all.
I wish you luck and I look forward to hearing about your ttc journey! Hopefully it will not be long!
Sending bunches
