I just don't know what to think - my mate is PG and came over to see me today and she said her dr said all the calculations suggest she conceived 6 days into her cycle ... sooooooo early! She said that makes sense as her OH was away for 2 weeks of month so this was when they had the only chance to BD and she'd written off that month cos she thought they'd BD'd too early to conceive!
She said she always thought she OV'd mid-cycle but her dr said sometimes, you OV real early or real late. OK, I guess we know that but her dr said it's quite common ... i thought it was rare. So the idea of POAS for OPKs on day 10 of cycle (this is when most of them advise it) might not make sense. O my!!!! So I guess we gotta make sure we start BDing loads after AF leaves ... which is cool but so much easier to rely on that 'fertile' period but it sounds like body's are strange and unpreditable.
i've heard of this....my friend was right at the end of her AF when she got pregnant, couldn't have been another time cos her OH was away the same...just have to BD all the time just to make sure
interesting...guess your just meant to be preg when your meant to be preg, right?!?! It has been suggested on here a lot lately that people should bd right after AF is over with, every other day!
I've known she's been PG for a while, she's 13 weeks now (I mentioned it on here a few weeks ago, I cried when she told me cos I was so happy for her!!) but today, we had a proper chat and went into more detail about when she conceived etc. I was just so surprised she conceived so early. OH and I did BD few days after AF so hopefully, if I'm like her, might catch it then. She said sore sore bbs and tiredness were the signs - and going off wine! But otherwise, she thought AF was coming; in fact, she was convinced of it. She'd been trying for 5 months. x
I have to say that I think Im going through one of those cycles...I was Ovulating around cd 15 and 16 and this month it was cd 9 and cd 10...that is a huge difference.
