My mum had 3 miscarriages and I havn't had one so I don't think your mums history has anything to do with how your body works. Did you have any tests done?

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but just because your mother was able to have four children naturally doesn't mean you won't have problems getting pregnant. If you have been trying for a year + I would go ahead and make an appointment with your Gynecologist, it never hurts to have things checked out.

I'm confused. How long have you actively been trying to TTC? If it's been a year or more I would go to your doctor, if it's only been a month I would give it some more time.........on average it takes women 5-6 months to get pregnant, and can take others a year or more...

It takes most people alot longer than a month. I'd give it some time when you try again before you worry. It's probably perfectly normal. Good luck when you do start TTC again!

From your other post I gather that you are 18 years old? If you have only really been trying for one month then I would give it a while to try and get pregnant.. it would not be unusual for you to be trying for a year when you are 18 years old.. by this I mean actively trying every month until you fall pregnant... IF you havent fallen pregnant after trying actively for around a year then I would definitely go and see a doctor and have some tests done. I agree with the other poster that just because your mother was ok in having four children it doesnt mean anything. I have been trying since September 2006 but I am 31 so my age may be playing a factor.

With regards to your other post about you getting married first, it may be worth waiting a while if you are going to struggle for money as you are still very young. It may be worth being in a good financial stable position so that your baby won't have to go without anything and that you can also support yourself. You said you would have to turn 22 years old so it may be worth waiting but again, thats at your discretion.

Either ways I hope this has helped and wish you the best of luck in whatever you choose to do

Dxxx

I came off the pill a couple of years ago and nothing happened for a bout 7 months then i got promoted went back on it and came off again last year and got pregnant after 2 cycles. I would see how you get on over the next couple of months. The first time round i didn't have a clue about ttc and obviously it's all about timing so had a much better idea the 2nd time round. Good luck

agreed that you should keep trying. Depends on when you "actively" started TTC. I was "unofficially" trying for almost a year and nothing happened. So I am taking more of a hands on approaching trying to see when I O, taking good supplements to help with conceiving.

I worry about inheriting things from my mom as well. My mom had irregular periods like myself and it took her 2 years to have my sister *when she was 24* and me *when she was 38* so it is really hard to say. My sister has cycles like clockwork, and then there is me....irregular! My sister has already had 2 children and is preg with her 3rd right now. And again, then there is me... <~~~~ I am alright really!
