??? About BFNs and Heredity

My sister and my mother came over last night. The first thing my mother said when she say me is "Are you pregnant? You look pregnant!" I said, no... I don't think I am. I tested a few times and they are all BFNs.

My mom, who is a nurse, asked for all my specifics, LMP DPO etc etc.

She told me that at her clinic, women with no insurance are made to wait 45 days past the start of their LMP because they were experiencing a frequent amount of false negatives because of testing too early. She suggested I wait til 45 day pas LMP and get beta if AF has yet to arrive.

Well if you are a POAS addict you know how incerdibly hard that is ( I am at day 35 )

Ok, so My sister just gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby boy 3 weeks ago, and she had this to input. She KNEW she was pregnant, felt it, sensed it, just outright knew. For FOUR months she POAS and ALL BFNs!!! She had her bloodwork confirmed at 8 weeks. She said her doctor told her that some women just dont register???? She asked what the cause would be and they just said there are alot of factors, and yaddie yaddie...

Does anyone know if something like that would be hereditary? I asked my mom if she had that too, and she laughed and said she has never POAS, she just got fat and pukey and knew.

Here are my SXSs
stretch marks on my bbs (never there before ever)
kinda gassy
loss of appetite
very very low cervix
creamy CM
moody
tired alot

Do you think I should try and get a beta now, continue to test until 45 days past LMP or just assume its negative and stop driving myself insane?

Thanks for listening

It does sound promising!

As for the hereditary thing, I'm not sure about that. There have been girls on here who have gone a week or so getting BFNs before they got BFPs!

Good luck!

I've been wondering that lately too. I remember my mum saying that when she was pregnant with me, she KNEW she was pregnant but every test she did was negative, and even a blood test was negative. I haven't told her that I'm TTC so I can't ask her when she tested or anything more about it unfortunately.

I'm at day 40 now, tested negative and still no AF (although I really, really feel it is coming as I'm in a terrible mood with major sugar cravings!). I kinda hope it is hereditary because there could still be hope for me (and you)!

I really wouldn't have known without testing.... well maybe I'd have worked it out a week or so later but new stretch marks on your boobs has to be a good sign unless they've grown for some other reason. Also the gas thing - happend to me big time. V embarrassing to start with because I've NEVER let one rip in public before!

I sure hope it's a good sign. Strangley my gas is coming up and out, not so much down and out. I don't drink carbonated beverages either so I don't know why I am burping so much... and it is almost acidic tasting alot of the times. I have never had acid reflux either.

I can't wait to go home and POAS some more, regardless of what my sister told me LOL

It's really hard to say although the symptoms are promising I for one can't possibly go by my instincts because I just "know" I'm pregnant aaaaand the day after AF arrives .... My instincts are wrong

Have you tried different types of tests? I got a BFN with cheapies using FMU and then a very clear BFP the same day with another kind of test.
