newbie confused by OPK

HI There,
I'm new to all of this. I have a wonderful husband and a DS 2 years and 2 months old. Unfortuately we had a miscarriage in May of this year. I was advised to wait 3 months before TTC again so here I am. I have been using OPK I test on CD18 at 4pm -ve then CD19 at 10am and +ve then CD19 at 4pm -ve. Do you think I've ovulated on CD19 or CD20?
Please help I'm so confused as I don't know how many dpo I am. I have not charted my temperatures this month so don't even have that to confirm.

hi and welcome

sorry to hear about your loss

the OPK test detects your lh surge, which happens 24-36 hours before you ovulate, so with a positive on cd19 morning it is likely that you ovulated either the night of cd19 or on cd20. no way to know for sure!

Hi Thanks for the advice I guess I'll just need to wait. Think I'm 6 or 7 dpo then still another week to wait!!

I would agree you can usually expect to O the day after a positive result but it could be the same day or even 2 days after, sending you lots of
