FSH Blood test - Advice needed if you can

I asked my Dr to refer me for blood tests to check FSH and all other baby making hormones which she did. Everything I've read about FSH testing says that this should be done on CD3. So I dutifully went for mine this fine CD3 morning, but sadly nobody told me I was supposed to fast beforehand and since I had a bowl of cereal and a cup of tea the receptionist told me to come back tomorrow or another day. Has anybody else had these test done on a day other than CD3?

Thats odd, I went for mine last week and it was in the afternoon and no one said anything about not eating or drinking before hand?

i had mine done last week i didnt have to fast how strange !

Maybe she was going to test for other things that do need to be fasted for?

Did you get the bloods paper work? What codes does it give?

Thanks so much girls for getting back so quick. On the strength of your replies I just been back to the hospital (only round a few corners) to question them. You're right Carrieanne the fasting was because my Dr had put Cholestrol on there - bugger all to do with fertility. So the hospital have done the tests and just marked Cholestrol as un-fasted

I feel so much better now that I got things done. I off to work soon and at least my work colleagues will all still have heads by the end of day
