I'm Currently Feeling: | Myth or actually true?! Okay, so my fiance has heard a million and one things that he thinks could affect us not having a baby yet.. Have you heard any of these and/or are they possibly true?!
Drinking mountain dew, having a laptop on your lap for some period of time (I guess since it gets hot?), and smoking that wacky tobacy, LOL. sometime in the past.. can affect his spermies..
Is this true or is he just paranoid?! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I always hear things about mountain dew like it'll change the color of your urine lol not sure about the truth of it though, but i always hear about the coloring in it *shrug* not sure what it is though.
The laptop in the lap thing is for men, because it's in the lap and can warm up his...goods...and the heat is not good for sperm environment, as they do well in cooler enviornments. hence a laptop in a mans lap may lead to dead spermies or lack of sperm.
the whacky tabacky (??) i have no idea on | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm sure all three could affect you in some way (Not an expert, just my thoughts)
Mountain Dew - I'm sure all the E numbers, acids, flavourings and other ingredients in Moutain dew aren't exactly optimal nutrients for your body, so there may be truth, but who knows.
Laptop - Yeap, as it's a localised heat to your testicles, therefore too much exposure will overheat the testicles and kill off the sperm.
Wacky Tobacy - Again, toxins in the bloodstream, reduced oxygen flow equals reduced sperm. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I've heard about all three too, not sure about the truth in all of them. I know that my sister was always worried that her son would never have kids because he was addicted to Mountain Dew when he was a teenager (he has no kids yet so I couldn't tell you if it's affected him or not ). The laptop I've heard is true, that the heat from the laptop creates an undesirable environment for the sperm. Not sure about the wacky tobaccy lol but I would assume that it could have affected his sperm in the past but don't know about any long term affects it may or may not have had? | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Now, if we turn it on it's head, what actually helps sperm?
I've heard zinc, selium (sorry about spelling) and vit c as well as boxers.
Edit - The pants, not the sportsmen | | | | Status: Offline
