I'm Currently Feeling: | I've been charting a while, only just started recording it online, always wrote it up in a personal journal before. It won't tell you when you're going to ovulate, it's more useful to looking for regular patterns, then you can begin to predict when you're about to O by looking at similar patterns in earlier charts. So it will take a few cycles before it's benefits are really seen, but in my opinion it's worth it.
Anything that helps you know your cycle better is a good thing hun
Just remember to always take it at the same time each day, and before you get out of bed or move (even before going to the loo when you wake up) that way the temps don't vary too much.
Best of luck |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I've not tried charting my temps but i'm using opk's this month which i am finding useful up to now i've had a couple of faint lines on them so think i will be ovulating in a couple of days as i've also got the EWCM - i'm gonna keep testing everyday until the line gets darker then i will know for definite when ovulation is going to happen. You might want to give them ago, you can get cheap ones i got about 20 for £7.00. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Ive done temps and found them useful to now if i had ovulated or not. At the time i had quite a few cycles with no ovulation. Also when i had blood tests done it was good too see if they matched with the results, they did. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I read somewhere that charting your temp post ovulation can help you determine if your preg or not. I heard that if your temp stays high through the time AF is supposed to start than takes a significant drop than AF is supposed to arrive. If it stays high past AF time than you could possibly be pregnant. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | It is good to record temping to find a pattern to when you ovulate. If you are just starting this month, I would suggest using OPKs along with temping, mainly because temping only tells you when you ovulated after you have ovulated if you know what I mean( i.e. you get your temperature increase the day after ovulation). So if you are using this as a guide to plan BDing, then you would end up missing ovulation. It is good to record it to get an idea of when you ovulate though.
I didn't particularly like charting temperatures for a few reasons. Firstly, I felt that I obsessed about every little rise and dip in my chart (googling 'implantation dip' and so forth - which materialised into nothing!). Secondly, I found waking up and remembering to stick a thermometer in my mouth a bit annoying! However, some women swear by charting and have had real success with it. You never know, I may go back to charting. At the moment I like using OPKs.
