| Wow, some people really should not try to breed. Why would he want to use an eye dropper anyway? If there's no BDing going on unless there's a significant physical reason for it, something seems very off there. Going to the store for baby dust... that one just makes me sad.
I used to work at a pharmacy, and dealt with a lot of interesting questions, but the scariest one ever was a young couple that approached me to ask where they could find the pregnancy test kits. I directed them to the aisle, said 'if you have any more questions feel free to ask me or the pharmacist' and left them to it. A few minutes later, the woman came up to me and said they couldn't find what they were looking for, so I returned to the aisle with her. They wanted a kit without a stick -- I explained that as far as I knew, they all had the same basic design and were used the same way.
Then the woman said she didn't want a kit with a stick, because last time it hurt so much, and I paused. I wasn't exactly sure what part of peeing on a stick could be painful. I tried to tell her how to use the kits and I don't think I could have been clearer without actually miming it out, and I told her she could always pee into a clean container and put the stick into that so it never came near her, but she insisted that her doctor had told her the end of the stick must be inserted in order to work.
When she told me (in too much detail might I add) what she'd put herself through, I was horrified -- she tried to get the end of the stick into her urethra!! I had assumed she was inserting it like a tampon, but this was so much worse! I was in pain just thinking about it. I reiterated that the stick shouldn't even touch your body, she needed to read the instructions and just follow those, or go to her doctor for a blood test instead.
Later on, I reflected on how I'd handled the incident -- being the manager of customer service, I felt awful that I couldn't seem to help this couple no matter how hard I tried; after all, it was my job to help people -- but in the end I realized it wasn't me. Some people really are just too dim to breed. |
