confusing OPKs - digital vs traditional

Hi everyone, please bear with me as I'm sure u have a million of these posts made everything lol.

TTC (miscarried twice previously) and i decided to try to use OPKS to help as having sex around day 14 wasnt helping.

So I;ve beent trying since day9 and two days ago (CD18) i got my first positive OPK with clearblue digital OPK. i used the same urine (collected in sample cup) to test with my First Response OPK (dye) and the line wasn't as dark as the CB one was. I tested again later in the evening and the same thing happened. +ve with CB digital and light line with FR test. Couldnt BD as bf had injury.

Yesterday tried again with the test but the CB kept coming up with error message (held stick in urine flow this time) and wasn't able to test with my FR stick. Still no BD cos my bf was still not well. Well, I say no BD but I was so scared of missing my chance I collected a "sample" from him and tried to put it in myself LMAO! Of course I just made a mess (i think i got some in and I circled what I managed to get in on my fingers around my cervix). TMI? ok i'll stop.

So today I took another CB digital test which came back as negative HOWEVER the FR came back with an obvious darker result line that i have never seen, even when I had tested twice in a day or with morning urine with them.

What is happening? Am I still ovulating? or has the egg only just been released? If so shouldn't both come up as positive?

TIA

Forgot to add: BD'd late afternoon before my positive clearblue digital Opk (laid back and relaxed for an hour afterwards so the swimmers could stay in!) and BD'd just now lol. We've also been BDing every other day since start of cycle.

felt ovulation cramps in middle of cycle and also Ewcm but the Opks were still negative.

sorry i just got the funniest images of trying to put the in yourself, you are too funny

I use the regular OPK's, so dont have any experience with the digital ones, all i can suggest is just as much as you can if you are getting postive results on either of them. Good luck

It was really a sight i tell u lol. I was so serious when i did it but now i feel so silly!

I feel a lot better now, especially as we bd last night. I took your advice- a positive is a positive. There was obviously something there to make it a positive. I just wanted to see what others thought as when searching for answers the opinions were pretty much the same- the digitals are always right, especially if its clearblue.
