Heartburn

Oooowwww...

Today I've had horrible heartburn, don't know where it's coming from as I don't usually get it. Any ideas?
Also, is it safe to take things for it while in the TWW???

It's driving me insane

ommmmg that's so weird because just starting this morning i've been having crazy heartburn that wont go away! I've just been complaining all day to DH and all he has to say is "What? you want me to take you to the emergency room?"

Even right now i can feel it in my chest ugghhhh. I took a nap earlier, drinking plenty of water, and eating, and nothing has changed all day :/

sorry i couldn't be much help to try and find a solution for it, but i guess we're both in the same boat

I have the cure:

Sodium bicarbonate, also known as baking soda, is used to relieve heartburn, sour stomach, or acid indigestion by neutralizing excess stomach acid. When used for this purpose, it is said to belong to the group of medicines called antacids. It may be used to treat the symptoms of stomach or duodenal ulcers. Sodium bicarbonate is also used to make the blood and urine more alkaline in certain conditions.

Sodium bicarbonate for oral use is available without a prescription; however, your doctor may have special instructions on the proper use and dose for your medical problem. Sodium bicarbonate is available in the following dosage forms:

However, take note:

Before Using This Medicine

If you are taking this medicine without a prescription, carefully read and follow any precautions on the label. For sodium bicarbonate, the following should be considered:

Allergies—Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to sodium bicarbonate. Also tell your health care professional if you are allergic to any other substances, such as foods, preservatives, or dyes.

Pregnancy—Sodium bicarbonate is absorbed by the body and although it has not been shown to cause problems, the chance always exists. In addition, medicines containing sodium should usually be avoided if you tend to retain (keep) body water.

A quick phone call to your doctors surgery will confirm whether you can take this or not.

PS: If you feel the need to call your surgery first to make sure, try a glass of cold milk to line your stomach. Milk is really good.

Thank you!

I actually did the glass of milk trick, which actually worked and eased it (although it was more like half a jug by the end!!)
I'm trying not to test early - I'm hoping it's a symptom, I just don't want to get my hopes up.

Thanks for the replies!
