If I got a line on my op test yesterday and today its barely visible did I already ovulate and there's no need to test anymore this month?or does it mean I have 24 hrs? I'm so confused!!! please help me figure this out
How dark was the line was it as dark as the test line? If so that would have meant you were ovulating so get BD'ing. I've only just started using OPK's so not 100% sure as i've had no lines up to now
As soon as you get a test line that is equal in strength or darker than the control line, you should get BDing!! Yo'uve got nothing to lose. Just because you never got a very dark test line, just means that your test missed your major surge (which is totally fine). You should be BDing as soon as you got your first positive. There's no point in testing again after that...
Sounds like everything is working great for you! You got the surge and it lasted 24 hours. That's it!

jo27-yeah the line just never gets dark enough, maybe it the brand I'm using.its called answer,it says 99% accurate,it's mind boggling I show it to my dh and he's nope your not ready,he's no help
I was exactly the same. I used the cheapie green and white sticks and on the first day of using them I got a feint test line as well as the control and then the following day, the test line got somewhat darker. The two lines NEVER got equally dark so I missed my surge (in a 12 hour period). I kept testing every day for about 2 weeks after that and never saw another test line.
Therefore, I would say you have missed your surge with the test strips as your surge may only have lasted for a few hours. It does show however that this is your ovulation time, so you haven't missed that.
If you keep testing for a few days (say 2) you will most likely find that you won't see another test line. I would do this as a reference for yourself for this month anyway, but no more after that or you're just tormenting yourself and wasting your test strips.
Best of luck.
