ovulation in regular cycles

Hello!
My cycles are very regular, 28 days long, does this mean that I ovulate on the same day every month?
I understand that ovulation might not occur on every cycle, but I wonder if because my cycles are regular my ovulation will happen also on the same given day every 4 weeks.
Thank you

Not necessarily. I would say, though, you probably O within a day or 2 window if you're like clockwork you lucky duck! I'm an advocate for temping and charting. That way, you know for sure. And if curiosity kills the cat, use OPK's too. That way you know for sure when that little eggie is released.

Thanks for that! I'm very new to all this, so what is OPK?
I'll start doing the ovulation tests, but they are so stupidly expensive, I wonder if it's worth doing it every month.

OPK = Ovulation Predictor Kit...you can find cheap ones online. Or, you could guestimate you O date (probably between 13-16 CD) and just as much as you can through CD16, you should hit your window of opportunity. Do you check your cervical mucus (CM)? That could help too.

P.S. On the home page of babyandbump.com, there is a post for abbreviations. I have to go back a lot to see what everything means!

Thank you all for the tips and info.
I'm desperartely trying not to get too obsessed about it - not an easy task though! I'm taking ovulation tests at the moment (with urine samples) hoping to work out which are my most fertile days and work around those dates every month.
Have a good weekend!
