Mine arrived today! I can't set the testing time until tomorrow though. And since the latest day I can set it is CD5 then it's gonna be 3 days off. Oh well...I'm just excited to POAS. :-D

Hi Suz,

I don't think it's bad to buy a used one at all. The test sticks are designed if you can imagine like a pen with the lid over the handle. When you have dipped one end into your FMU, you slide the lid off the handle and cover the little test strip with the plastic lid. It leaves the strip in a small window and the stick is then pressed down into the monitor to be read. There is minimal contact with the monitor itself with the part of the stick that has any urine on and this, in my opinion can be easily cleaned by a new user.

If I had to have bought a used one, I would have used some disinfectant wipes over the whole monitor and felt quite happy that it was ready for me to use. The whole monitor is designed so that it can be fully cleaned. In fact in one part of the booklet, it explains that there is a warning icon on the digital screen that tells you when the monitor needs cleaning.

Go for it.

PS: I am sure I have read somewhere that this item is not supplied for the American market, so on line is going to be your best bet.

.
Just a warning. In the booklet it says not to clean it with anything other than water and a cuetip.
