Here is my situation, hopefully someone has been through a similar one..

I have 1 child already, Alex, and he will be 3 next month. It's funny you think because you've done it once that you'll just "know" the second time around.. but it's different.

My husband and I hadn't decided to "try" yet, but he just got back from an 8 week long travel for his job, and we weren't the most careful over the month of December.. We had unprotected sex several times throughout the month.. once early in December, right after I got off of my period (which I started on November 30th btw), once around the 11th or the 12th, and then once about a week ago because I thought my period was so close I couldn't be ovulating. Anyway, obviously it's now January 3rd, and no period. I did test 2 days ago and got a negative result. My cycle in October was about 28 days, and about 30 days in November. I have been having mild cramping in my lower abdomen for about a week leading me to think AF was starting at any time but it hasn't come. I've also been having mild headaches, slight white-ish discharge, and occasional nipple itching. It's too bad PG symptoms can't be obvious, or different from AF symptoms, this would be much easier Do you think I could still be pg, even after a negative pg test? I don't know how often it happens that women get pregnant right before their period starts..

Yer still possible, are you late yet then??? I didn't get a positive result until i was 4 days late.

I'd test in a few days time if AF doesnt show up and see what happens ....

and welcome to babyandbump! yes,it is possible that you could be pregnant.try testing again,or maby make a visit to your gp?

Yes I am late, I would assume about 4 days, since my cycle was 30 days in November. I think I will test tomorrow morning when I wake up. I guess I just thought it would be positive right away, since I barely got done peeing on it with my son and there was a big ole + sign... thanks for the insight ladies

It is very possible that you could be pregnant. When you tested you would have only been 2 days post ovulation and some tests only pick up hcg at 50 miu and it can take quite a few days for that to build up.

Argh!! We're in the same boat. My son is three in Feb and my first day of last period was 30th November, I'm on a 28 day cycle. I'm now 6 days late with 7 (yes seven!) neg results from HPTs that I've done. I feel pregnant (though as time progresses I'm wondering if my mind is now playing tricks on my body). I've had the mild cramps right around 31st/1st Jan, plus feel tired, have very small amount of dark blood a couple of days ago but nothing! I'm never late so like you I'm going nuts here. Well, I did go to my doc today and she tells me that there are about 10% of women out there that implant later and one of her other patients didn't test positive until 2 weeks later and that my levels could be too low at this time! Thought it would be a slam dunk as I tested positive with my son the first day of missed period before. I get the results of the blood test tomorrow, fingers crossed!
