TTC & drinking soft drinks

Can someone tell me why I shouldn't drink pop/soda when I'm TTC? I know I shouldn't be having caffeine, but what about uncaffeinated soft drinks??

I drink up to 2 litres of sparkling mineral water A DAY!!! I hope thats not a problem?! I dont drink any other fizzy drinks and I only have 1 cup of tea a day and the odd glass of red wine - if I can't have a bit of fizzy in my water I dont know what I'll do!!! I'm still peed off at not eating blue cheese!!!

Now, don't quote me on this, but I think you are supposed to limit artificial sweeteners when pg, and possibly even when ttc. I could be wrong, please correct me if I am! I know I can't drink aspartame so I don't, but I do drink some drinks sweetened with Splenda, as well as some yogurts and all that. I know caffeine should be limited...hope that helps. As I said, I could be wrong...
