is it a false positive test?

Hello! For starters I wanted to wish everyone a happy new year!
I'm new here and wanted to ask your opinion. I took a home pregnancy test couple of days ago and though it showed a negative result, after an hour when I looked at it again I saw a clear pink second line - it turned out positive. As I know that you shouldn't read the test after 15 min, I thought the test showed false result and I decided to take another test couple of days later and the same thing happened!! After 3 min it was negative, but I kept the test and when I looked at it later, it was positive AGAIN. This thing had never happened to me, I have took tonns of tests and the negative ones always remained negatives. Why these tests show a positive results later? Maybe my HcG level is just so low at the moment, that it doesn't show right away? What are your opinions?

the thing is with the home tests is that when they are left for a long time a second line can apper due to some chemical reaction or something this is why it tells u not to read it after 15 mins, i wouldnt take it as a faulse positive just try another test brand, clear blues are great and pick up sucha small amount of HCG, good luck hun hope it a BFP for you and happy new year x

What i think you should do is buy the clear blue digital pregnancy test. There will be no mistaken results with this brand as it appears in words rather than lines! It can detect the pregnancy hormone as early as 4 days before af is due!. Good luck!. I have my fingers crossed for you!.

Digital tests arent really that great for early detection, even though it says on the box.
The best test to try is a normal clearblue one.

Thanks you all for answering!
Unfortunately I can't buy any clearblue test in my country (Estonia). I took an Acon test twice and I know that it is the best one that can be found in our drug stores. I'll do the blood test to be sure. I recently miscarried and now trying again, let's hope that I don't have to wait for too long.
Best for you all

All agreed, take another test to confirm the results. I think if you look back at the test it is just showing up due to the chemicals reacting...but I have my hopes up for you!!! Please post and tell us the results if you decide to use another test
