I'm Currently Feeling: | Best Days to BD? Hello all, I hope everyone had a great Christmas...
I'm just wondering, as I've never really got an opinion on it, only went by the random information I read here and there.
But what are the best days to BD around ovulation? I was told a couple of days before, and then again on the day. So if I use a OPK and it's coming up to O (faint lines) - is that the best time? Or is it best to wait until it's a definate positive? I know the sperm can live longer than the egg, which is why I assume it's best to BD a few days before Ovulation?
I mean I'm around 5 days off O (approx) - so should DH and I be at it like rabbits now? Lol, or should we wait a little...
Am I way off? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I think this is a hard one, because many people BD everyday or even twice a day for 4 days either side of estimated O, yet others (including doctors) say its best to BD every 2nd day so the sperm is a good concentration.
Just say you O on day 15, then I think it would be best to BD day 11, 13, 15, 17 to catch the eggie but in a concentrated form. OR you could try bd'ing everyday around O, say day 13-16.
So long as you're bd'ing around O, thats the main thing, but I think its a personal preference of how often you do it.
Will you have the preeseed in time for this month?
Good luck |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Yeah, it makes sense that the higher concentrated it is, more chance of the egg getting fertilized.
You could even try bd'ing 1-2 x after you get your strong OPK positive so that DH has abstained for say a good 4 days, then its REALLY strong...we did that once but felt like we weren't trying hard enough that month!!! |

| ooh good luck with the preseed, we really liked it, i agree every 2nd day is good leading up to o so the can accumulate a little. then maybe one extra one day of o, just for good measure! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Best of luck!! on opks inserts they say if you get a positive (which can be a fainter line but similar to the control line) that the egg can be released around 12-48 hours afterwards, as it detects the LH surge or an egg is already released. I have always read that it is good to bd right before O since sperm can live for a fairly long time inside you, that way when the egg is released, there are sperm there right away. get to it! I know how you feel, being nervous! Try not to think too much and just enjoy bding!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I think as long as you are BDing around the time you O you have a shot. Some people will tell you you have to have spermies waiting for the egg, but look at those women that get pg by bding on the day they O...we're going for the every second/third day philosophy this time around....we'll see what happens. |
