Mini-period a week early, Regular period late, Negative HPT's

Hi, everyone! I had what my doctor calls a "mini period" that showed up at least a week earlier than my period was due. (Only laster about 2 days, lighter than usual). I tested negative for pregnancy (urine test), so she told me that I should still expect my regular period. Well, it's oficially late, with no signs of coming. I've never had irregular cycles EVER, so this is all new to me, but I'm still testing negative on HPT's. I am TTC, and we did bd on all fertile days, but could I still be pregnant if tests are negative?

Well if you went and saw your doctor then chances are that your body is just being weird. Perhaps it is due to stress of ttc or the Holidays. So your mini period was last week...and no official period yet....Did they take a blood test at the docs? I would try testing again in a few days just to be certain because you said you are normally regular...did you just come off the the bcps??

I am not sure about that one! The 'mini period' could have been implantation bleeding. If so, that is probably why it didn't show up on the doctor's urine test - they are famous for not being very sensitive. Also if it was implantation bleeding, the hcg level would not have built up enough to probably register on a test anyway. So test around about when your AF is due.

On the other hand, like others have said, it could be down to the stress of TTC.
