Thanks everyone. I thought that an orgasm opened the cervix more making it easier to get pregnant. If that is true, then surely it's more beneficial to orgasm before? Problem is there's too much conflicting information out there! I'll just have to wait and see xxx

It opens the cervix and lets them in, hence the reason why you should have an orgasm after your partner.

I have heard about the women having her orgasm first, might help.
Although, the hubby and I tried this in last months cycle, but we didn't get preggo.
But it might work, if studies show it has!

hmmm so many theories will have to just try orhasm before and after see if it gets me anywhere lol but its interesting and fun trying i spose good luck ladies ttc xx

its not essential (obviously it is for the man!) an orgasm creates muscle spasms which contract the uterus and the cervix lifting the sperm and helping them on their way, of course sperm are strong swimmers and made for the job so they should be ok without an orgasm, but it is an advantage if you can help it. good luck!
