Are opk's supposed to be darker in the morning

My opks are always darker around 11am than they are around 4-6pm. Is this how they are or is it just me?

Yeah mine are always the same colour if I do them on the same day x

I think it just depends on when your surge starts and finishes and when you catch it, the recommended time to do it is around 2pm and not having had anything much to drink or been to the loo for about 4 hours beforehand.

It isnt my 1st morning urine its usually my second or third, they just always turn out darker then the evening ones???!

I thought I was doing mine too early, so I started doing them at 6pm aswell but they were pretty much always the same colour, once lighter, but that was after my surge x

I do 2 cheap ones a day at 2pm and 6pm. I have never missed my surge ( dark lines ) so this seems to work.
