It is, although I guess I'm quite lucky because my OH is willing to take these tests and wants to find out whats wrong. A lot of men would maybe in denial about the whole thing. I'm very lucky to be married to a man that is as serious about TTC as I am! xx

Why is it that the tests are not always so good the first time round?? I note alot of ladies oh have had tests and they have come back not so good but then after trying again 3months ltr there fine.. any reasons why?

My oh was lower than average but nothing to worry about doc said but we have been using wellman to get it abit better, even tho the doc expressed he prodcued more than enough of a sample and they only test a certain amount so really if they tested the whole lot he prob be well over the average! x

It annoys me that you're told to try 'naturally' for a year before being offered more tests because if you're ready to try to conceive then it usually means you're ready to become pregnant so it's frustrating to be told to wait. I hope everything works out for the two of you.

Hope everything goes well for you all! Our GP told us both to go for routine tests and my OH has been resisting!

I posted this in LTTC too but am really panicked now.

My husband told me a few weeks ago he has a varicocele
I don't think it's ever been confirmed by the doctor, but how do I go about getting him to go for an SA?

He has tried for children before in the past with his ex wife (2 lots of 6months) and it never happened - could be easily explained, could just have been one of those things, but I now have it in my head that it's not just me who has the problems, but he might too.

He needs to transfer to my dr anyway and I am seeing mine next week so will mention it to her.
I am in the process of getting my bloods done for my own referral but don't think I can wait that long for his SA to be done

Help!!!

KayD- good that your husband is being very pro-active. A lot of men will hide from even going for a test believing everything is ok
I hope you get some good results for the next SA! x
