I really need some answers please!

I was talking to a friend today about the second miscarriage I went thru. I dont know how, but we brought up the issue of my acne treatment that I went thru almost 5 years ago.

I had a problem in my cheeks. They used to get too hot and red and my doctor put me under Roaccutane for 6 months. I got cured and it was great. Then she started to say that maybe my miscarriages are happening because of it because her cousin miscarried bec of it. I was like "come on, it's been 5 years!!".

For those who dont know one of the side effects of this pill:
Roaccutane to cause severe birth defects, and it is not advised to fall pregnant while taking it or after some specific time until ur body gets rid of it.

I was like isn't 5 years enough?? She kept me thinking about it

I have never heard about that! interesting. Yeah you would think 5 years would be plenty of time! How long did your friend quit before she miscarried? Perhaps consult your doctor about it before ttc again just to be on the safe side. Best of luck to you!

TBH I've wondered that too, I too spent 6 month on it, I had to sign a thing to say that if I got pregnant while I was on it that I'd abort and I've had 2 MCs also....I had terrible nose bleeds with it....had to keep shoving vaseline up me nose!
