Angry

None of your bloody business!

Why do people you hardly know feel that they can ask really personal questions about your family plans? Makes my blood boil!

We were queueing at the customer service bit in Argos this afternoon, and Charlie was in the Tesco's Trolley. An ex-manager from work who left months ago saw me and popped over to say hello (I hardly know her but was polite). Anyway, she's chatting away to Charlie and asked me how old he was. When I said he was 15 months, she turned round and said "isn't it time you got a move on and had another one then? You don't want him to be an only child do you?"

She doesn't even know me well enough to know he's not an only child!

I just laughed it off, and luckily was then called forward to be dealt with so was able to make my excuses.

But I really wanted to just shout "He's not an only child, and even if he was, there's nothing wrong with that. Oh, and we've actually been ttc for the past 15 months as we wanted them to be close together in age, but it's not bloody happening, and each month is getting more and more depressing and frustrating. And as you're being such a nosey cow, I'm on CD18 today, and will be praying that the doesn't show up on the 23rd December"

Cow.

Some times people have no idea how insenstive they're being...and the rest are just to rude to care !!!

If I've had one person tell me that "shouldn't I be PG by now" "time's not on my side" "you don't want to be an old mum" (I'm only 32) I've had about 20 people tell me...I'm with you...arrgghhhhhhhhhhh

Thanks Tinylo

I get the age thing as well. I'm 38 next birthday. I know I'm getting older, but I don't need everyone to tell me!

My MIL is the worst one for that. DH is only just 27, and she's forever insinuating that she would maybe have more chance of loads more grandchildren if he's married someone more his own age!

This is just horrible! I hate when people think that they can comment on something they really know nothing about! I'm sorry that person was so rude. And I'm sorry people go on about the age thing...I'm only 29 and I sometimes get it...even from myself and I know I still have lots of time to have kids! As for 32...that's how old my Granny was when she had my Mom, and the same age as my Mom had me...and only children are fine...I'm one, my Mom's one, my Dad's one, my Granny's one...granted I want 2-3, but if we're only blessed with one, I'll be happy with that.

People pi$$ me off sometimes...

Always someone got to give their twopenneth worth. Too young, too old, enough kids already, selfish not to have any, when will i be a granny , whats wrong with you ? etc etc. Try to ignore the daft buggers, they don't know about any difficulties you may be having and lifes to short to have to explain yourself to everyone
