I am 18 soon to be 19 (3 more months) well me and my boyfriend want to try for our FIRST baby!! I just stopped taking my birth control and ive only been on it for like 2 months lol well i stopped taking it wednesday and now im on my period. " fun huh" well I have gotten pregnant befor but it was an ectopic pregnancy this was the day after thanksgiving of 06, i had to have surgery and they took my left tube out cause it wouldnt stop bleeding. So i am left with 1 tube and no baby So thats that so far. I dont really no a whole lot about this getting pregnant stuff. SO any info and all your thought would be very much appriciated!! Ok well i was on a site that estimated my ovulation timing of this month ( 12/23 ovulation) I hope its right! lol so i am going to try to make A baby. haha ok so wish me luck when it comes around. so yea ok well hope to get sum answers and chat with sum moms!!

How long are your cycles and are they regular? One of the first ways to estimate ovulation is to cut your cycles in half. So a 28 day cycle would mean O'ing day 14.

You can also buy some ovulation predictor kits which is a pee on a stick type deal to tell you if you're about to ovulate.

So if you can time sex with O'ing that is a start.

Remember that you can have sex before O'ing and still get pregnant because the sperm can live for up to 72hrs.

hi and welcome! sorry about the eptopic that must have been hard! A you were only one the pill for a couple of months your body might regulate quite quickly! I was on the pill for nearly 8 years, this is my 4th cycle off the pill and my 3rd month on ttc. Some doctors think you should wait 1-3 months afetr coming of the pill before ttc others say you dont need to wait at all so i let myself have one cycle off the pill befor starting.

I got af (aunt flow/period) right on time after coming off the pill but despite that my cycles have been from 24-33 days since coming off it. I got bloods done last month and i am ovulating...so the point is you might not be ovulating half way through your cycle, especially after coming off the pill. Im ovulating about 3-4 days after af finishes so you might be the same so i would recommend buting some cheap ovultion tests online.

As you had a tube removed im not sure how that will work, i know we have plenty of eggs, im not sure if you will release an egg from your tube evry month (like your body will know to) or if it will be random. Some people at times release more than one egg per month but i know it tends to be random in people with both tubes whether the egg is released from the left or right tube. I think ovulation tests would be a great help for you! Plus your young and youve been able to get pregnant before so you sound pretty fertile. You should also buy some folic acid! Good luck!!
