Hi Lou

Some doctors are so bloody insensitive not only that some of them don't take chemicals that seriously which is discusting! Did you get your second chemcial confirmed? Did you get the MC confirmed?

Don't give up. In the shortest way I can OH & I were at the raw end of chemicals pregnancies and Im 99% certain 'my problem' went back further than I was aware of (I use to think I was infertile put it that way) then I had an ectopic and actively started TTC was joyed I was fertile only my findings were tough NEVER thought it would happen all things considered (inc. past) everything appeared to be against me but I have just had my lil girl the strongest little miracle in my life and it will happen for you. I hope in the mean time you have a supportive partner and you need to shake the quack and talk to him about your worries and maybe see if he will send you for miscarriage investigation and get some bloods done for testing at least.

Good luck x

hi lou, i'm sorry to hear of what you have been through and i agree the dr's can infuriating when they don't listen/take you seriously. there are so many success stories on this board, i mean from people who have been through a lot and didn't think they would be able to conceive. you will have your chance, it just takes longer than expected sometimes

I think since you are bout 35 that could make it more difficult but NOT impossible! My sister is preg at 39, my mom had me at 38! Don't worry! Best wishs ttc and good luck with your doc appointment! I am positive that many woman have had chemical pregnancies and never knew it, how weird....our bodies just need to learn to recognize what is going on and get that egg implanted and growing!!!! Keep a strong body/mind!

Hi Ladies

Well we've got our fertility appointment so we will just have to see what the outcome of that is!

Will keep you posted

Thanks x

I have a question about this - by how many days can your LP change from one cycle to another? I know 1 or 2 days sometimes happens, but can 3? From one cycle to the next one?
This cycle I was caught of guard when AF showed up because my last cycle had a LP of 15 days, and this time is was only 12 days...I wasn't tracking my other cycle.

Thanks.

Luteal phase should not change much at all. Mine is 11 days. One of 10 periods, my LP is 12 or 10. But that's as much as it should adjust for normal cycles. The day of ovulation is what gets wacky. Some months I ovulate day 15, some on day 12, some on day 18.

I check CM and CP to determine fertility.

Taking charge of your Fertility is a great book/resource.

Thanks. I am thinking about getting TCOYF, but haven't done it yet.

Why I'm asking is that I know ovulation change from period to period, but I didn't think the LP changed a lot, maybe a day or two. And this last period I only had a LP of 12 days, whereas before it was 15 days...just got me thinking that I may have had a chemical pg...but don't have enough cycles to know exactly what my LP would be.

Thanks again!

Hi there, I'm new to the site, and thought I'd share my story. My first pg ended in ectopic (a & e job!) in 2000, 3 months later, fell with our beautiful Daughter, then felt complete. This October decided to ttc (I'm 39!) and fell pg straight way, then ... chemical pg at 5 weeks!! Tried again, in November cycle (no break) fell pg again, chemical pg on Monday at 5 weeks again!! Doc says I have to have a 3rd before she will refer me, and that I must take a break. We are gutted, as I seem to fall so well, but can't keep it. Am now taking B6, Evening Primrose, Zinc and Folic Acid, am starting to rattle and trying to remain positive. It does help reading your stories, as I feel very alone and desperate for time to pass.
