I'm Currently Feeling:

After BDing

(TMI warning) So after BDing no matter how long I lay in bed when I eventually get up the little swimmers come running out. Does the amount of sperm that leaves your body mean none of the buggers made it where they should have gone?

Don't worry - due to the force of ejaculation, a lot will make their way up there! You could always try lying there for a while with your bum elevated with a pillow under it if you are worried. A lot of girls do this do give more momentum to the sperm!

Good luck!

Don't worry - there is a lot of fluid when a man ejaculates and most of the sperm will make its way up there during your fertile period. It's after the sperm gets past your cervix that the real journey starts!!

I've been thinking this as well! Most of the time I go straight to sleep after bd'ing, yet the lil swimmers seem to fall out as soon as I get up the next day! (tmi)

I feel like none of them are making the journey on!

xx

I've heard that only 5% of semen is actually sperm, the rest is just there to help transport it. So whist it can look like all of it is coming back out, in reality those little swimmers are already on their journey nearly straight after ejaculation.

It's natural for a whole load of it to come out. It's the stuff that spurts (sorry, gross!) right into your cervix that's important. You won't even see this stuff, it's already on its way! The other stuff isn't important. x

Same happens to me! I tilt my pelivis, have my legs up, even stand on my head to help it go down and some always comes out!

Since doing the at home AI this month, a lot less is coming out though.

Its just semen. I have the same thing happen to me, and when i concieved my first baby, i fell asleep after BDing and the next morning when i stood up and i had stuff come out of me then.

I wouldn't worry to much. Its just semen, and possibly the sperm that wasn't mature enough.
