BBT charting

I started taking my temperature this month, but its with a normal thermometer thats read in C not F. Anyway, i just want to understand it all a bit more. I had a few dips in it, one of which i think is ovulation, well from the OPK's and CM i would have thought so, but im not sure about the rest of the cycle. I've tried looking on the internet but i can't seem to find info that makes sense. Any ideas?

Hi Kyra,

Ovulation wont necessarily give you a dip in your temps but after you have ovulated what you will see is that your temperatures go up. Once your temperatures have been up for three consecutive days that will confirm you have ovd.

If you are using OPKs you should find that you will actually ov a day or two later at which time your temp will go up.

PS it doesn't matter if you are temping in C or F but a thermometer that records to two decimal places is best.

I just started doing BBT this month too, so Im glad you asked this question. I want to understand what it all means! I am going to do the FF lessons so I can get it all.

How many decimal places does your therm go to hun? Maybe post a link of your chart for people to have a look at?

hey hunny- ive onyl just started temping too so i cant tell you what it should be like in the rest of the cycle, but im in the same boat so good luck to us hehe xx

Thanks honeybee, its all so confusing. Its definetly changing in temp. I think this month its just for me to learn about it all as i dont think this month is my month.

ye defo- its even worse for me today as im hoping for an implantation dip- and yesterday my temp did go down, but today its gone waaaaayyyyy up because of my sun burn- of course i was hoping it would go back up to indicate a possible implantation but now i cant tell because of sunburn
