This sucks.

OK... I know its only been two months of trying...but really? We've "hit" it on every ovulation day and prior. Which, is amazing because my guy has a low sex drive. LOL.... Anyways... yeah, the came yesterday (June 12th)... that was a 27 day schedule. Last month is was 28. I'm trying not to get TOO down on it but sometimes I do wonder if it's ever going to happen. My guy tells me that when we stop "trying" it'll happen. But really... how can I NOT test for ovulation dates when is at a minimum as it is????? UGH. Anyone else on the same schedule as me or having these doubts?

I am on cd4 so almost same schedule as you! I know how you feel. When ttc for our son I didnt do opks or anything for the first 6 months and we didnt get pg then I started doing opks the 7th month and the 8th we got preggo. So this time, I figured since I got the whole ttc thing down I would be able to get pg in the first or second cycle... but no bfp yet and we are on cd4 of our third cycle ttc. Ugh! I know exactly how you feel. It sucks when you know you have bd'd on the days you are supposed to and done everything "right" and nothing comes of it.

Good luck this month! Fx we will get our bfps!

It took me 6 months the first time. After a miscarriage, I'm hoping for a quick bfp this time...but my body doesn't seem to want to cooperate! Its annoying, I know, but trust me, it will happen eventually!

The first time was SO easy for me - we got pregnant in cycle 1!! This time I came in with the expectation that it would happen very quickly which has made the fact that it hasn't all the harder.
We're on cycle 5 now.
I can understand your frustration. I think the thing we need to remember that even doing everything right there is still only something like a 30% chance that you'll get pregnant. Just keep doing what you're doing, and keep up the PMA.
and to you.

I actually read that there is only a 20% chance of conception each month in a healthy couple. Crazy... and very depressing!

and remember in alot of cases the ovum does become fertilized but if there is a faulty gene the egg will not divide- so its about having a healthy ovum as well as sperm also- because remember each zygote (ovum & sperm) carries dominetnt and recesive chromosomes from each parent to make a child and alot of the ovums will not attach itself to the uterine lining unless they are healthy- so its also finding the right match- keep trying it will happen hunny!!!! We are in our 3rd cycle, athough up untill this cycle we were not trying not preventing, but this time we used ovulation kits xx

I have had it this month too! Did everything right, or so I thought. I fell pregnant 1st time but it was ectopic. I formed unrealistic expectations following that! Good luck, I am going to stop being a mood hoover!

Oconley,

I know what you mean about the low drive. My guy is the same way... We pretty much only BD when we have greater chances of conceiving. That way, he can rest in between. Also, I don't talk too much about TTC with him....I don't want to scare him away.

I would still use the OPKs. I'm buying some if I get a BFN next week.

I know, it's a bummer when you have to try and minimize how much action you're getting but still TTC.

I feel the same...

I know where everyone is coming from on this one. We have been TTC for 5 months and no joy so far. Using OPK and charting this month for the first time to try and improve chances. Fingers crossed...
