Hi Girls!

Hi girls!

Thanks for all your kind messages last week. I feel a bit better now. I still have times when I think about things and feel sad, but I am trying to think about trying again.

I was only five weeks along, so at least I did not have to go through some of the things other girls have to go through when they miscarry. However, no matter how far along you are, when you know you are pregnant, you still get your hopes up and get excited. In some ways, you are still a 'mum', if only for a very short time. I think what I had was a chemical pregnancy, as I found out early on the Saturday that I was pregnant and by the following Sunday, the digital test read negative. So, I recon that if I hadn't tested early, I might not have even know.

Thanks again for all your support - I am back in the ttc posse!

I just have to wait for my cycle to get back to normal. I am definately waiting for one normal period, but may wait for two cycles. I haven't decided yet. Doctor said that one cycle is enough, but you do read conflicting advice about miscarriage chances after only waiting for one cycle; some say that there is no risk, others say there is an increased risk. So...?

Has anyone concieved early after a miscarriage? Advice would be good.

Hello Poppy!! It is so good to see you back!! Welcome to the TTC corner.. I myself have never experienced a miscarriage, but the day after you had announced yours, my sister called and told me she had miscarried. It was an aweful experience and I cannot imagine how much it has to hurt!

I have a couple of friends who started trying again after their first cycle and went on to have very happy and healthy pregnancies their second time around. I think that since your doctor said it was okay and others have had a healthy pregnancy with only one cycle, that it would be okay to start trying, but I kinda think it is a call on how you feel. If you are really worried about it, I would wait until you felt more comfortable.

I hope you have the best of luck TTC whenever you decide! I am so happy that you are doing better. My thoughts were with you.

Hi Poppy,

Sorry to hear of your loss. I think if you feel ready to start ttc again after one cycle then you should just go for it. Best of luck.

xx

Welcome back! Glad to hear you're feeling better.

I just wanted to relate what happened to one of my SILs...they miscarried later in the pg than you, but they were pg again without waiting a cycle. What they figured happened was that while they were waiting for her normal cycle they hit it lucky and conceived again immediately. That was my first nephew and he's doing fine! Just turned 4 actually. If you want to wait a cycle, then that's what's right for you. If you want to wait 2, then that's what's right for you. But, I have had, through family, the experience of not waiting (not trying either...) and having a perfectly normal baby at the end of it.

Do whatever you feel comfortable with, and if your doctor recommends waiting 1 cycle and you're comfortable with that go for it. If it takes you longer to feel comfortable, then take the time. I have no idea what I'd do, but I know everything was fine with my SIL. GL.

Welcome back Poppy

I'm sorry to hear about your lose & it must be hard struggling right now with the emotions.
With my only miscarriage I have had I was 8 weeks along. It was when I was about 16 and I kinda pushed it behind me and not talk much about it anymore.

I really don't know how long it will take they say you should have a normal period in 4-8 weeks after the MC. Then start charting and TTC again I think.

I hope everything goes well and you get yourself a sticky bean with a very soon..

Hi Poppy! I'm so glad you've come back to us I've been thinking about you a lot hoping that you've been doing as well as can be expected.

A good friend of mine misscarried at 13 weeks not long ago, and so did one of her friends. Her friend started trying again right away and fell preg and is now out of the major misscarriage danger zone. My friend was advised by her doctor to wait 3 cycles before trying again.

I hope you get your much deserved BFP and H&H 9 months when the time is right hun.
