Question

Short periods. Are they good or bad??

I was just wondering if anyone knows or has any information about whether short periods are linked to trouble conceiving or ovulating?

My periods have been irregular for some time now, but just recently have been regulating. However, my menses only lasts 2-3 days. This time it was normal for the first day and a half. Then started to become light. Day three, I am basically just spotting.

Thanks*

My periods were 2/3 days and I got pregnant first time (not first time having sex, first time condom split.)

Mine are normal for 3 days, then just brown type spotting on day 4 and sometimes day 5. And I do ovulate according to OPK's and blood test. My cyles are a little irregular too.

My GP did tell me that irregular cycles can *sometimes* mean problems with ovulating but not always.

Consider yourself lucky, most people would love a 2-3 day menses, I don't see a problem with it, unless you're not ovulating and it's not really a menstrual cycle, but breakthrough bleeding or something.

I have light periods so I asked my dr and he said it has nowt to do with trouble conceiving as your body stores up the right amount of blood etc to line the womb when your pregnant. He said the only indication from periods is if they're hugely irregular but even then it's not a definite. But he did say if you are very regular (eg. every 28 days on the dot) then that's a sign you're very fertile.
