HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! Hope you had a good day with family and friends!

I just wanted to make a post because I am trying not to feel frustrated and up set at the moment. And wanted to see who else is dealing with/or has dealt the same situation.

My DH and I have been together over 7 years, married 1 year and 7 months. We have been officially ttc for almost 4 months now. Our friend called us today to wish us a Happy Thanksgiving and to give us news that he and his wife are now pregnant with their 2nd, and his sister is pregnant with her 5th.

Meanwhile, my friend told me a week ago that she is pregnant with her 2nd and a couple weeks before that my sister told me that she is pregnant with her 3rd. after getting her tubes untied

I am really trying to not be jealous or up set but can't really fight how disappointed I feel. I know we will have a baby when we are supposed to, but it just goes to show how it feels like everyone around you can conceive but you...

Is anyone feeling the same way or has been through similar experiences???

Yeah, I hear ya. We've been trying for going on 15 months now. It's hard when everyone else seems to conceive with ease, but you never know if that's the case or not. There's a time and a reason for everything, so when the time is right, it'll happen. Atleast that's the crap I tell myself every month! lol

First of all, i've come to learn that it is completely normal to feel this way, so don't beat yourself up

Even before we found out that we had fertility problems and thought we would conceive naturally eventually we too felt jealous and 'its not fair' feelings toward other pregnant couples.

Its been over a year now and we do have fert problems and it isn't any easier, harder infact as time goes on I feel.

Unfortunatley I personally have isolated myself a lot from pregnant friends and families because i'm going through enough, I don't need to have my nose rubbed in it all.

So my point is that yes, you're experiencing normal feelings, and when you start trying it seems that everyone except you is pregnant, and it is an awful feeling.

I have my fingers crossed that you get your BFP really soon, but until that time comes, don't feel bad for the way you're feeling, its not an easy thing to go through

I kno how you feel either all my friends are preggo or they have children already i feel so left out of that "special" group lol. I just feel its my turn lol.

i think most of us know how you feel, me and hubby have been ttc for 3 months now and it does seem like everyone around me is becoming pregnant. One of my best friends is so socially i'm always with a pregnant person then the admin woman at work is pregnant so at work its in my face and the woman who does my nails is pregnant as well. My hairdreser has just had a baby too. It does seem so easy for other people and not us ut the time will come

i felt the same way as you!
felt like everyone was pregnant and i felt quite resentful but its totally normal.
i also had ppl tell me oh it hasnt been so long what are you worrying about, but it doesnt matter how long uve been trying if you want it- its hard

yep ditto,everyone around me is either preg and due or just fallen preg,and all of my mates have concieved straight away!
it does make me angry and slightly jealous,but i no i have to be patient!
just dont like it lol

Sometimes when people tell you that they concieved straight away, they have exaggerated it slightly. One of my best friends and her husband are quite competitive and when she told everyone she was pregnant, she was like, 'we are so fertile, this was our first attempt and look...' Later on she told me that they had actually been off birth control pills for a year before she got pregnant - so in actuality, she could have fallen pregnant any time that year but didn't.

Also, when most people tell you they are pregnant, they don't really say how long they have been 'trying' for, or they down play it. So possibly these people have also been trying for months or years and have just not talked about it.

I've only been TTC since last week but just to add, as I said in a post today, my whole family seems to come from Fertile City, falling PG at the drop of a hat so I do feel pressure, even at this early early stage. I was at a party the other day and my cousin announced she was pregnant for the 2nd time. She told me she fell straight away! They literally tried once in one month (he was away for 2-3 weeks on a trainign course) and that was enough! WTF?! And she wasn't exaggerating cos she just isn't like that. So yeh, I anticipate a difficult time if I don't fall PG by spring what with everyone else I know falling PG easy as! x
