I'm looking for some info. I've been ttc for the past few months. Just before my period was due I got a minor yeast infection for the very first time ever. I read in the instructions that a yeast infection could mean pregnancy. But I also read in several places that that may not be true. It seems to have cleared up after using a 3 day otc treatment. I'm currently 3 days late, which is not normal for me at all, my period has been like clockwork since I got it at age 12. It usually lasts 5 days then I get it again 21 days after the last day of the last period.

I'm not unusually stressed, I was sick with a cold recently but it's never caused me to be late. And I read that a yeast infection shouldn't cause a period to be late. I also asked my mother and she said that it wouldn't interfere with getting my period.(she doesn't know I'm trying to get pregnant)

I'm just feeling very confused right now and don't know what's going on. I took a hpt and it was negative. So I figure I'll wait longer and see if I get my period and take it again if I don't. I will probably be going to the dr's but I want to wait and see if I get my period or not.

Along with all that, I have been feeling a little queasy the past couple days, oddly just my right breast has been feeling a bit sore. I don't feel like I'm going to get my period, I'm just very gassy and not having any cramping.

Any info. you guys have or have experienced similar would help. I'm just trying to find out as much as I can. I really hope that i am pregnant. It would mean a lot to my bf and I and if I'm not I know he's going to be pretty upset.

When did you test? And did you test with first morning water

Stress & feeling unwell can delay a period even if its not so common for you usually. Not sure about the yeast infection personally though ...

The waiting game definately stinks and stinks more when the plays games.

I've been prone to yeast infections for years, and I have to say, they have never delayed AF, but they can be a sign of being run down or stressed out, which in turn can cause AF to be delayed.

It's not over until she rears her ugly head though...you should probably test again in a couple of days if she still hasn't showed.
