First of this is my first post on here - hi everyone.

Im so confused right now.

I had my last period 4 weeks ago, and stoped taking the pill around this time as well. Me and my boyfriend decied to break up as he was moving to a different city and i didnt want to leave my family. We were living together untill he went - which was a few days ago.

We carried on sleeping together, without me taking the pill, i know it was a stupid thing to do, but i havnt been thinking straight recently.

Anyway, about a week after my last period i had a 3 day bleed, this has never happend, and it was quite light, i have also been feeling really sicky, not all the time, just after eating and some mornings. On top of that i have had a tingly pins and needles feeling in my left side, its not constent just when i lay down.

I thought i was pregnant untill yesterday when i came on again, but its not like my normal period, its darker then normal.

Any advice would be great, maybe im just paranoid about being pregnant as i havent been taking the pill.

when you are on the pill - you dont have a proper period

when you come off the pill it can then take a while for your period to regulate.

if you are worried you could always have a word with your doctor

clarkie is spot on, the coming off the pill messes up your for a wee while, but do check with ur doc!!

Have you taken a pregnancy test? then you would know for sure i guess..xx

Not yet, ill see how this period - if thats what it is, goes before testing, i have got a test, and really want to take it, but im going to wait till i stop bleeding. Think thats the best way to do it, im not sure?

well if you are worrying and want to know now then i would take a test to put your mind at rest. though its your decision ultimately hun xx

Yer i know, its just a bit scary as my boyfriends only just moved away and i dont want him to think i got pregnent on purpose - if i am.

I have been off pill for four months and my March AF was like that a very light bleed for about 3 days I could have got away with wearing a panty liner I never exerienced an AF like that b4 then April I had nothing NO AF at all. My ov dates all messed u too I was using oks all I know is I am 11do and waiting until 1st May for next AF

Its true, coming off bcp really screws with your periods. When I came off it my periods were darker and heavier than before. That might be why yours is darker red. Your body has to adjust to being without the pill and that takes some time.

the bleed you have every month while you are on the pill is not a true period, so it may just be that now you are off the pill your periods will take a while to regulate themselves. A lot of women also experience pregnancy like symptoms after coming off the pill, like nausea and sore breasts
it sounds likely to me that what you are having is a period, it is just different to your withdrawal bleeds that you had on the pill. however, it is possible to bleed during pregnancy and so if you are unsure I would say take a test - even if you are bleeding it will positive if you are pregnant.
