Your temperature taken first thing when you wake before you get out of bed or do anything.

Basically after you OV you'll see a sustained temp rise. This is useful for giving you an idea of when you OV in your cycle so you can better time the for future cycles and if you're trying to get PG that you can stop (at least for baby making purposes) and take a break. Individual temps don't tell you a whole lot as you're looking for a trend over time. If you click on the link in my sig you can see my temp chart. The green line is last cycle and you can definitely see where the temps went up.
