confused ovulation or pregnant?

Hi guys,
I had sex on the 20th. I havnt been testing for ovulation but it would have been around then (roughly if its meant to be 14 days into cycle blah blah). This is my first month of considering ttc. Unfortunatley db's penis got hurt during the sex...whoops so ...eh we couldnt finish lol! Anyways this was the only time we had sex this month (im thinking there may be a chance of pre sperm getting to the egg but i know this isnt very likely).
Anyway i was wondering does anyone get ovulation later on during their cycle because ive had lower back pain and very mild period style twinges (although it could be wind and bloating)!
I ate like a pig yesterday and i couldnt sleep last night because naseau kept waking me up! I have it today aswell and the only time it stops is when i eat but then it comes back an hour later!hmmm
So im thinking maybe im pregnant?...but i quit smoking 2 days ago so im not sure if could be that. Plus ive had ridiculous amounts of discharge but i do get thrush sometimes (but theres no itching or discomfort so i dont think its that). Its not white/clear and slippery its more white/yellow sometimes realy thin sometimes thicker.
Sorry for waffling on, just not sure whats going on...any ideas?

They say that ovulation generally occurs 14 days after the start day of you period. In reality it can occur at almost any time in your cycle so it is possible for you to be getting ovulation pains now.

Thanks! it could be i guess im hoping that im pregnant and im being impatient! What i dont understand about the ovulating thing is if you ovulate where i am in my cycle now and my period is due in 8 days would that mean if i conceievd today that a positive test wouldnt work until quite a few days after af was due!?

Try reading the book Taking Charge of your Fertility, by Toni Weschler. That book has done wonders about explaining ovulation and it actually has made me more aware of when I ovulate.

Thanks Chrissy, ill tey that. DB said he didnt feel any pre sperm come out as he was very dry (we had a tight foreskin situation) so then had to stop
So i think the chances are pretty unlikely...unfortunately!

Anything is possible!! And eventhough he may not have felt it or it didn't feel wet, it is possible he still had pre-sperm. Also after reading the book, I started actually tracking everything and I realized I'm not on a 28 day cycle, I'm on a 29 day cycle. I guess you learn something new everyday!
