HELP from those who may have gone through the same??

ok I am so fed up with this constant period every 6 to 7 days apart...has anyone out there been on the depo shot and came off of it.........could you give me any advice of how to stop the periods.

I have been to see my doctor several times, I think I need another opinion because he won't do anything to help me. He won't perscribe anything to ease the flow or the cramps. So I went to another doctor for a second opinion and he is refering me to a gynocoligist...

Has anyone had the problem of flowing all the time, what did you to to ease it? How long did it go on? Am I looking at 1 month two months...a year of always having a period? PLEASE can anybody give me some advice, I am running out of hope, and energy. I feel sick all the time, dizzy and just plain old tired....help....please.

I've also been told I have cervicitis ( my cervix is inflammed I guess) my doctor didn't take the time to explain to me what it was, and he has not given me any treatment. I read it can lead to infertility if left untreated...I've had it the past two times I went for a pap test....I'm going to a specialist when they call me to make an appointment...

but in the mean time...any advice on personal experiences with depo shot and constant bleeding would lift my spirits...please....thank you ladies.

I detest the Depo shot, I had three 3-month doses of it a few years back, had old blood spotting the ENTIRE time, as in, pretty much every single day, doctor just kept saying it was fine but it was horrible. It kept up for the month following when I would have been due for the fourth shot, and then finally stopped. I'm glad you got a second opinion and they're taking action, hope they sort things out for you!

google angus castus and try the other part of the forum that talks about products there is lots of buzz about it over there...it is suposed to help regulate periods over time...also if you go to GYN they may have you take a month of BC pill or even two to get you somewhat regulated. hope everything goes well for you and that you stop bleeding soon!

THANK YOU so very very much!! I really thank you. I'm glad to know there may be some light at the end of the tunnel. I am having hot flashes on and off too, but I suppose it is from my system being so out of whack. I really hope the gynocoligist helps me sort through the problems and can help me find out how to control the flow so I can start ovulating, so I can try for a bundle of joy. thank you again ladies for sharing your stories! it gives me hope!

When i came off the injections i had the same thing. My gyn got me to take two months of birth controll pills to get me as regulated as possible. It def helped. Theres nothing more frustrating then a doctor who doesnt explain things so you understand. Sometimes they make you feel so rushed. They just want you in and out.

Bit of advice, write down everything before you go to the Gyn. Theres nothing more annoying then driving home from an app and realising you forgot to ask something. Write down all your questions, and symtoms. Trust me, youll forget something if you dont. hehe.

I always forget something when I am in the doctors office. My dr. is horrible, he over books patients, and is very rude and blunt. He never takes the time to listen to me, and I feel more frustrated when I leave his office than when I go in. But there is such a dr. shortage, I have no choice but to go see him, I finally got fed up with his manners I went to an after hours clinic and got the help I needed. So I hope the gyno. will get me on my way to being normal again!! This is horrible. I've been having periods every 14 days, for 3 months, and now they've started every 7 days....

I'm small framed...you could call it skinny....lol....but I've always had problems keeping ON weight, I've gained 10 pounds in the last 6 months....I really needed it, so I'm not to upset over the weight gain....but I can see how that could be a real problem for some people!! Depo Provera is horrible, I really don't understand why doctors still give it out to patients. It messes up so many peoples bodies and lives!!
