Birth Control Injection - FDA Approved

Dear all,
I just get an email from my friend about Birth Control Injection...
Don't know how true it is....just to share with you all..

In the past week, Nicole Dishuk, aged 31 newly graduated
student with a doctoral degree about to start her new career as
a Doctor, was flown into a nearby hospital, because she had
passed out.

They found a blood clot in her neck, and immediately took her
by helicopter to the ER to operate. By the time they removed
the right half of her skull to relieve the pressure on her
brain, the clot had spread to her brain causing severe damage.

From last Wednesday night, she had been battling. They induced
her into a coma to stop the blood flow, operated 3 times and
... finally, they said there was nothing left that they could
do. They found multiple clots in the left side of her brain.
The swelling would not stop, and she was on life support.

She died at 4:30 yesterday. She leaves behind a husband, 2 year
old Brandon and 4 year old Justin. The CAUSE of DEATH - A birth
control injection she was getting that allows you to only have
your period three times a year. It interrupts her menstrual
cycle, and it is FDA approved !

It could have been related but like Jo says you make your own mind up.
Things like this are extremly rare if it is connected.

I heard already before that there is a connection between those birth control injections and blood clots!

It might be rare but it is best to be aware (sorry, didn't mean to make that rhyme lol). I take the pill and even that worries me so I make sure I stop taking it for a bit every so often, even though im not very happy taking it at all. I thought about the injections/implants you can get and that doesn't make me feel much better.

Recently heard about this new type of pill that only lets you have a few periods a year and thought it sounded a bit dodgy! although that snopes says delaying the period does the body no harm and she died from a stroke, so who knows.. most likely hype!
