Cervical positioning - What am I feeling for?

Sorry ladies... but how am I meant to know what's high and low? High inwards[s or higher towards the sky if I lay on my back? Also how hard is hard... what does a closed or open cervix feel like and for 11dpo what should it feel like if AF on way or pregnant?

Thanks... I'll be waiting in my corner... *Puts on Dunce cap*

xxxxxx

'high' and 'low' refers to how far in i.e. how easy to reach. 'high' would be harder to reach with your fingers, 'low' easier to get to!
'hard' should feel roughly like the end of your nose, 'soft' is like your lips.
open or closed is difficult, but theres a little dip in the middle - if open it will feel bigger. some women's always feels a little open, especially if you've already had a child.

the cervix usually returns to it's non fertile state post ovulation regardless of whether or not you've conceived so isn't a very reliable indicator, but it will open leading up to af and should stay closed if your pg.

hope that helps!
