How do you cope?

I am a complete basketcase today. I am beyond stressed out about work, am having a long and super-heavy AF (ugh), am tired, just generally having a crap Monday morning... And on top of it all I'm an emotional wreck. I've teared up twice this morning already, and wish I had some good mood stablizers to get me thru the day... (only half joking).

So I'm also just so upset about not getting pg this month. I'm depressed, feeling like it will never happen, worried. We have an appointment on Wednesday with the fertility specialist - but at this point I'm just so down-in-the-dumps I worry he won't even be able to help.

How do you guys cope when you get the baby blues so bad??? Any advise would be welcome...

I'm so sorry you're feeling so down! Sometimes when I get really down I try to keep myself really busy, like I'll clean the house from top to bottom. Sometimes I'll drown my sorrows in shopping (though that can be expensive!), and sometimes I watch movies about babies (Father of the Bride II or Nine Months)....probably pretty pathetic of me...

It can be tough. When I realised on Saturday that I was out again this month I indulged in serious floods of tears before bed, felt very sorry for myself and went to sleep. The next day I did feel considerably better.

There's no sure-fire way of dealing with it, we're all different. Although Jeannette's shopping sounds good to me!

you did come on here and vent a little, I hope that helped. Sleep also helps me especially when I'm dealing with AF on top of everything else, it can be really draining on the body. Also lots of water, exercise, comedy dvd's and time

i find when I'm down like this then watching one of my favourite comedies helps - i can't stop myself from laughing, and laughing makes you instantly feel better

Oh you poor thing.....big to you.
I know exactly how you feel. I was like that last week. All I wanted to do was curl up in bed. Chin up my lovely. Don't put yourself under too much stress. I have to constantly tell myself to chill out and calm down. Go out and treat yourself to something nice and then get yourself an early night. Sleep is a great tonic. Let us know how you get on with the Doctors. Wishing you the best of luck...
