OPK CONFUSION! Anyone else?

So I started using OPK's this month and temping to perhaps make it more clear when we needed to be doing the deed - in fact, it's just made things all the more confusing! I had a positive OPK last Sunday. I had another positive one on Thursday night and then another one today!? I thought you were only supposed to get one positive result? Anyone else had this happen?! I was hoping my temperatures would shed some light on the subject, but they are really all over the place so have not helped!

I've been having milky/watery CM for well over a week now which is not drying up at all and the last 3 days I have felt really exhausted, had headaches on and off and been a bit moody. I'm only cycle day 22 today though so it's far to early to even think about doing a pregnancy test!

Help - what's going on!?

Is anyone else the same?

i have always stopped using opk once i get a positive result so am not sure if that has happened to me.
have heard people say a +ve opk later on can be because of preg but i KNOW this isnt always the case

Thanks babe. I heard that somewhere too, but I wasn't sure whether it was true. I'm more inclined to think that my body is trying to ovulate and then is not actually doing it? Don't know though! Why is nothing straight forward!? I guess i'm just going to have to be patient for another week or so! It's a killer though!

I had that happen this month, FF called it a fertile patch, and its still not clear on what day I truly o'd. So yes it can be confusing, but i'm hoping it'll make more sense as I go along, it's only my first month charting. Maybe the egg was slow to release? or the surge was there but it never released? Dunno.

This may be a silly question... but I ask because it took me a couple of times to figure it out, too.

Are you sure it was a positive? The test line has to be AS DARK or DARKER than the control. If it is even a little lighter than the control, then the opk is NOT positive.

Do you have a link to your chart so others can see your temps?

If your line was "as dark or darker" than the control and your temps are all over the place, it sounds like your body might be gearing up to ovulate and then not doing it for some reason...then trying again...and then not doing it... This can happen for many reasons, stress, illness, travel..etc

Keep trudging along, your temps will reveal ovulation hopefully soon.

Make sure you aren't mouth breathing during the night, because that can really screw up temps, and be consistent with your wake up times. I temp vaginally to avoid the mouthbreathing issue.

This might sound strange but is there any chance you could be pregnant? That happened to me and it was because I was pregnant I was getting +ve opk?

I was going to ask the same question about OPK's too. I've had ewcm for the last 3 days and have b'd for the last 3 days. Today I have no ewcm and still have a +tive OPK. Any ideas ladies?

EWCM can stop the day of ovulation. Last month I had no CM - was very dry, but got an opk.

OPK's sometimes can be unreliable as pregnancy tests because they react to a bunch of different hormones. Go to peeonastick.com to see a demonstration.

I understand what you are saying but as a dental professional I will tell you it is rather difficult to stop mouth breathing. FYI
