Travel around Ov, and BBT ???

I am on the road right now and haven't ovulated yet but hope I do soon!

Sadly, my digital opk's I was using never gave me a positive result before I left and my temps are still low. There is a chance my opk's were previously frozen and apparently the instructions say "DO NOT FREEZE" so I could attribute that (false hope perhaps) to the neg opks.

Anyways, the real reason I am posting is I am looking for suggestions/advice about what to do tomorrow morning with my temp time? I really think tomorrow's temp is pivotal.

FF recommends when travelling across time zones (I have have travelled two!) to use the same time in local time. It says that the temperatures will be affected for a day or two...I don't want that! I want to know if I ov'ed today or not.

I have travelled two hours ahead of where I live.

I have my watch set to my time back home. If I took my temp then would that be better? I take my temp really early in the morning when I am at home but don't need to be up that early while on the road, so it will be a decent time to wake up and take my temp...

Anyone with experience in taking bbt while travelling while ovulating?

Sorry I've no experience with BBT in different time zones. But what you are saying sounds very reasonable, i.e. setting the clock for the usual time that your body is used to getting up. Especially if that's more in line with the time you are going to be getting up anyway when you are on the road. I think FFs advice is geared towards situations where you have to readjust your body clock because you are going to need to get up at the same time in the new time zone. But if you don't have to change, surely that would be even better. So I think what you are suggesting sounds like a good plan and hopefully you should still be able to get a very clear picture.

Unfortunately my plan didn't work out. I ended up taking my temp at the new local time because when I counted it, it would have only been 3.5 hrs of sleep between when I went to bed (@ my local time) and when my old time was taking my temp.

to be clear, I was wrong when I counted it but that is what travel does to a person...
