Does anyone else have just one ovarian cyst?

I had a scan yesterday to see if a cyst they picked up when I was pregnant with Morgan was still there. Well it is and its 4.3cm big which I think is massive, but they are saying unless its causing a problem to leave it.

Now I really dont know what to think! could this be why it took so long to conceive Morgan and is it going to effect me trying this time.

obviously its not pcos as there just one on one side.

I had just got in a positive mood about trying and that it would happen and now Im not sure it ever will

I had an ultra sound a few weeks ago....due to 2 weeks of spotting after ovulation...they called me to say to rebook another one for MAY...because there might be a cyst. Didn't say anything else......
Doesn't sound like they think its an issue...but I'm not sure either.
my DR. knows I am TTC and have been for 9 months and am over 35. SO....I guess it really isn't a concern of his...but sure is of mine.....I am worried this may become a problem and I hate wasting time .
I hope you don't worry about it too much......just keep in touch with your Dr.and keep communitcating your concerns...DO not suffer in silence....

I have has a few cysts my first 2 were 3 cm and 4 cm they just popped them while i had a laprascope, my next one was 6 cm which they found while having a c section which they removed part of the ovary and the cyst (all clear/ negative) my next one was 8 cm when we first saw it i was 8 weeks pregnant they decided to leave it. next scan at 12 weeks it was 12 cm they decided to leave my next scan i was 15 weeks 4 days it was 12 cm but it was changing and gettin an odd shape it was siting where bub should have been. the great ob/gyn said it was fine its still small!!!! the cyst torted when i was 16 weeks. the pain was nothing like i have ever had i then went into labor and had a 16 week little girl. i had to have a laparotomey (like a c section) to remove the cyst and my right ovary and tube. i have had 3 cysts since then (2004) but they have never got bigger than 4 cm and they just disapear. they never stoppd me getting pregnant but when i am pregnant they seam to get bigger. i dont think i have helped you at all but if you have a gut feeling about a cyst scream and cry so it will be removed! good luck and i hope it disapears for you

Hi i wouldnt worry about it to much cysts 5cm or under are usually left as they usually go on there owne and they dont stop you concieving.

When i was 16 i had sum unusual bleeding anyway they did scan said it was a ovarian cyst 9 years later i collapsed and was taken into to hosp it was the same cyst that had grown to 15cm! i had a operation and it was removed along with my right ovary ( i concieved my daughter whilst i had that cyst) anyway i have found out i have a 3cm cyst on my left ovary but they arent concerned about it as it had shrunk 2 moths later

hi im sara and i was told about 3 periods ago that my cyts where all gone, and that before hand that why i wasnt have regular peroids, and ive have had 2 regular ones,my 3rd one is due anytime now,no cramps or anything,let alone prego symtoms, i was just wondering how long it mite take me to conceive now, i been trying since so, if anyone could help me out that would be great

HEY Don't worry too much about it, I had one that was 7cm once and it went away on its own

hey i was rushed i into hospital about a month ago now in extreme pain, they gave me morphine and kept me in then in the morning i got a scan, they said it was a cyst on my right ovary that had burst that caused the pain, i would check that there is no chance of it bursting as its not a nice feeling, but if they say that theres no way it shouldnt cause any problems, xx

Sometimes people only reply to the first post... If you have a new question you might start a new thread As far as when you might conceive, thats kinda hard to answer.... Maybe talk to your DR and see what he thinks... The general rule (in a perfect world) is that it could take 6-9 months to conceive when you start trying... GOOD LUCK
