I am interested to hear everyone's methods of TTC. I know some are charting, some are using OPK's, others are bding every other day..some every day... etc. I am just charting for now and bding every other day. Oh and for all your pg ladies feel free to post your successful methods too! Thx.

I'm charting still a newbie at charting. I check cervical position and CM.
I also take Fertility Blend For Her. I Use OPK's I test 3x a day.
I also lay down after sex prop hips up for 30-40 mins.

For the first two months we tried BDing every day, usually lasted the first two weeks after AF than got tired . The third month I had started working and was tired so we didn't BD as often, but were lucky enough to catch that month!

I'm using the clearblue fertility moniter and prop up hips for about 15mins after bd. will use preseed this month too for the first time.

m&b, when you check your cervix position do you have to poke your fingers all the way up and feel it? (sorry for being ignorant, i've read about it before but was never quite sure how it was done)

I chart my BBT & CM, use Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, use OPK 2 times a day. We BD every other day leading up to ovulation and every day when I test positive on the OPK.

What you do is while ur on the toilet like your going to pee you take your clean fingers put it up your vagina like your going to finger yourself. And go up till you feel what is like the tip of your noise or what feels like the tip of a penis kinda. It will have a slit (lil hole) When you get close to ovulating it will be super soft and will be very open enough to stick a finger tip in (NEVER put anything farther than that up there) Nor force your finger tip in, If you feel like you cant get a finger tip in then you are not ovulating.
During the rest of the month it will be closed to were you feel a tiny tiny opening the size of maybe a pin point of a pen, Will be firm low or medium. The highest that your cervix is (the OS which is the opening to the cervix) it will be so high you can get a whole finger link up in order to feel it thats when your ovulating or getting ready to.
When you get close to AF it will slightly open feeling like a slit enough so the flow can come out (wont be as open as what it does right when you ovulate).


This might sound gross but I also use a vaginal spectulum I check for the openness and the color and how much fluid is around..
I use a mirror and a flash light lay down and hold the mirror in one hand and the flash light in other and observe. Thats also what I'm doing this month.
When your not pregnant your OS will be pink or red looking. After a few weeks of being pregnant or a few months it will be a purplish blue kinda like the color of this site..

we're jusr trying to BD as often as possible, trying to monitor CM but not very sucessfully mostly looks the same to me. This month after AF, when it finally shows, we will BD every other day and every day over ovulation time.

thanks for the info m&b, i'm a bit queezy about innards, i can't watch any of those hospital programs. i don't think i could poke my finger all the way up, i don't even like using tampons without applicator as everything feels soft and gooey!! i once had a colposcopy and saw my cervix on a giant tv screen and nearly fainted!

It took us 8 months to get pregnant with our second baby! I had been charting CM, AF, and doing OPKs. I'd do one OPK a day. And we'd BD all around the middle of my cycle anyway.....
BUT- I didn't get pregnant until my hubby made me stop doing all that! All he let me do was track AF. And we just had fun and BD'd whenever! First month doing it his way, and 4 days before AF was due (about 11DPO) I got my BFP!
I think we just get too stressed about it and it makes it impossible to get pregnant. Although it's insanely hard to NOT obsess about it, I'd recommend doing as little as possible to track, other than BDing at least every other day or two. Good luck hun!
