How do i do it??

My toddler has just turned 2 and still in a cot, shes quite small for her age and seems comfy in it, plus when i put her to bed, she goes straight to sleep. OH says we should put her in a toddler bed soon, as i am expecting our 2nd baby in august and he thinks we should put her in the bed long before baby is here so that she doesnt feel pushed out, too much change ect. I think he is right. She will love the bed i know that, but im thinking she wont just go straight to sleep like she does at the moment as she can just get out! So basicly my issue is that she will keep getting out of bed!

Anyone does this who can give me some tips on making it as easy as possible?

we moved Harriet about 5 months before Tilly was born - she was fine in the bed but it took about 5 nights for her to settle down - she had a new room as well it was a very big change i can see that now!

You just have to persevere, she could be absolutely fine no probs at all, you will never know till u try. I would advise doing it in a good amount of time before the baby is born tho!!

Oh, and Harrie has never (yet) got out of bed! she waits for us to go in to her in the mornings before even attempting it... no idea why but its great!
