FURIOUS and Fed Up! >:(

ARGHHHHHH!!!!! I'm furious as to what a stupid wit said at a restuarNt about me. but I will get to that later.

Anyway, Alexa is HORRIFYING when it comes to eating. She used to be AMAZING and I always bragged how she always ate anything I gave her. oh how the wheels have turned! I get sooo fed up! It's just Alexa and I who live at home. OH lives 4 hours away until we get married soon.

So I basically cook for just Alexa and I. Before she came along, I basically just ate crap didn't see the purpose in just cooking for me. :/

Any who The only thing Alexa eats basically is crap... If I'm lucky...

like one might I made us beef enchiladas and green beans. She would have none of it! So I ended up making Chicken Alfredo with Broccolli in it. The only thing she would eat was the broccoli!! Another night I made chicken and we had celery crocks and ranch dressing. The only thing she would eat was the celery sticks, without the ranch dressing. If there is anything white on Alexa's food, she won't even try it.
So today for breakfast I made Cheesy grits, toast, sausage, and sliced bananas. The ONLY thing she would eat was the sausage!

Then today, We were out in town, and unfortunately I lost track of time and it was time for Alexa to eat. We were 20 minutes from home, so I brought us to a restaurant.

I tried to pick out the healthiest thing for Alexa. I got her baked fish, green beams, and macaroni and cheese. She would not even look at her fish, she perched her lips shut when I tried to feed her the mac cheese and green beans. ARGHHHHHH!!! So I thought, well at least I brought apple sauce with us in her bag. She loves apple sauce.... But NOPE didn't want that either! And she also usually loves green beans and mac and cheese. Gahh it was gonna be one of those days. Last night she ate green beans and lasagna but today she didn't want green beans...

Sooo I resorted to try and give her a bite of my corn on the cob, this I know she loves! And sure enough she went to town on it.

This freaking couple at the table next to us, who obviously don't have children, kept staring at me trying to feed Alexa. they didn't talk to each other the whole time they sat there, it's like they had nothing better to do but pass judgement on the people around them.
and the stupid heffer of a woman, the only thin I hear her say the entire freaking time we were there was, "some people don't deserve children"

OH MY FREAKIN GAH!!!! I nearly went WWE With her head and my chair!!

Just because I allowed my 16 month old to eat corn on the cob was a good enough reason for me to not have children!!! Are you effin kidding me. I gave her a look that could kill, and they ended up leaving.

Not only am I a frustrated mother who can't get my daughter to eat right, but I have to deal with dumb b's that don't have children who think it's ok to judge and say stupid shizah!

Alexa won't even eat her Flinston Vitamins. she ate one one day and loved it and since then refuses.

I'm at a lose!
Alexa loves things one day and refuses the next! She I fear is becoming malnurished.

Last night was the first meal she ate in I don't know how long. and she actually ate more than me. :/

what do I do???

& sorry for all of the misses spelling I'm on a stinky iPad.

If i am being honest, that's a lot of food and flavours for her.

If it was me i would go back to basics.

Start off with plainer foods, like when we start weaning and slowly reintroduce more variety.

The fact you are getting really stressed at mealtimes, she will notice and this won't help so a relaxed approach might help too ( i mean that in a nice way)

Cheese grits, i don't even know what that is

I would just put a little bit of everything on her plate and see how she goes.

Good Luck.

V xxx

What's wrong with corn on the cob??? Stupid people!! & how rude to comment like that!

Agree with the other ladies, try simple foods and if she won't eat it, I wouldnt offer an alternative. I'm a meanie though!! But I do think that by taking foods one day & then not another she is messing you around a bit, sounds like she's in control and loving it. Like I said, I'm mean though

lol K4th.

Thanks for the replies.
Only reason I've been giving her flavors was because origina
Ly she wouldn't eat vegetables so I tried giving her more flavorful food which she seemed to love. But now it's the opposite.

So what exactly would you guys conceder the basics, especially when it comes to meat and protein?

Green beans, peas, carrots, and the only fruit she'll eat are bananas and melons. And only starch she'll touch are noodles and SOMETIMES toast.

wasn't quite finished writing there lol. I was going to say you are doing well trying her with proper healthy meals and at least she isn't totally against the idea of things like broccoli and celery! I'm sure I read that you have to try them on a food 10 or even 20 times before you can say they defo don't like it, and if she's anything like my LO her tastes change like the wind...maybe just cut down on the choice that you're giving her in one mealtime if that makes sense

I'd try really hard to not get as stressed about her eating as she will understand by your reaction that her behaviour with food is giving her control especially if you make lots of different things.

I know its difficult - Tom"s eating can be dreadful and he won't touch veggies at all. I tend to stick to things he will eat at the mo and its fine if he doesn't touch it - he will be offered toast or yoghurt as an alternative but that's it. He still has toddler milk so I can get some vitamins into him.

Its really normal for kids to start getting controlling and fussy around your LO's age - its really not just you even though it feels like it sometimes!
